ABOUT THESE
PAINTINGS ... I began
painting Abstract Angels spontaneously after my mom was diagnosed with terminal
cancer. The painting of angels was not planned by myself, so when I found
myself painting them I was a bit surprised. However, when my mother could
no longer speak, we communicated thru Angel Paintings, and then I understood on
a deeper level why I had begun to paint them - it was a gift of communication to
have with my mother - a different form. And for the first time in my life,
I recognized the power of Art on an entirely different level. One week
after my mother died, I found an angel picture my mother had drawn. My
AWAKENING II painting was inspired by her Angel picture. I treasure my
mother's drawing and it inspires me to "Keep on Keeping On" (something she used
to say to me).
